Run the pre-dive safety check and start a dive

Confirm the emergency equipment is aboard, start each dive from the boat roster, and mark the boat out and back in.

The boat roster is built for a phone on the boat. It shows the day's trips from the day plan and the guests placed on each one. A boat cannot start a dive until its safety check is complete.

   Open the boat roster

   Open Boat roster. It opens on today. If more than one trip is going out, pick the boat from the row of boat names at the top. Trips and guests come from the day plan, so plan the day first.

   Open the safety check

   Tap Safety check. Every item starts as Aboard. Tap only what is not aboard, and it changes to Missing. Mark all aboard resets the list.

   Confirm the required kit

   Everything under Emergency equipment · required must be aboard: the oxygen kit full and in date, a complete first aid kit, a VHF radio check, and life jackets for everyone on board. Choose who did the check under Checked by, add a Note if needed, and press Confirm · the boat can dive.

   Start the first dive

   Tap Start dive 1. Set the Site, Dive type, Gas and the time In the water, then press Start dive. These apply to the whole boat and can be changed later with Details.

   Mark the boat out and back in

   On the Day plan tab for today, press Departed on the trip when it leaves and Back in when it returns. The trip then shows when it went out and when it came back. Undo clears both.
