Report a fault and log maintenance on a boat or vehicle

Open a ticket when something breaks, take the asset out of service if needed, and log scheduled work so the next service date moves on.

Anyone except HR and read-only users can report a fault. Owners, admins and equipment staff update tickets and schedules.
  1. 1

    Report the fault

Open the boat, vehicle or compressor from Register and press Report a fault. Say What is wrong, add Details, and set the Priority and Assign to.

  2. 2

Take it out of service if needed

If it must not be used, tick the box to take it out of service until the ticket is closed. Press Open ticket.

  3. 3

    Work the ticket

On Maintenance, click the ticket. Change the Status to In progress or Done, and fill in What was done, Labour (hours) and Cost. Press Save.

  4. 4

    Set up recurring work

On the asset's page, press Schedule in the Maintenance card. Name the Job, choose how it Repeats (by months, by engine hours or kilometres, or on a yearly date), and press Add.

  5. 5

    Log scheduled work as done

When the job is done, choose Log as done from the schedule's menu. Enter the meter reading if asked, the Cost and Notes, and press Log as done. The schedule moves to its next due point and a closed ticket keeps the cost.
